Whodat w/ Collective Rhythm Network (March 30)
Whodat, aka Terri McQueen, lusciously spreads a timeless spirit of house music while paving new roads in electronica. For her, deep house is a form of transcendence and a safe space to just be, and the love she shares through sound is unforgettable, infectious, and undeniable. Growing up in Detroit, Whodat has known and felt the healing power of music her whole life, and for well over a decade she’s worked to spread that spirit through her DJing and production. Over the last five years, her unique and eclectic productions have appeared on Uzuri, Meakusma, and Queen Mum’s Mail.
Collective Rhythm Network was established in 1998 (!!!) by Geoff Adamson, with Marc-Andrew joining in 2001. Every Monday night from 9 - 10:30 pm on 93.3 CFMU, hosts/programmers/djs Geoff and Marc-Andrew bring you a unique selection of underground dance music from the 70s into present day, with a specific focus on Detroit sounds. They last brought hallowed Detroit DJ (and member of the Three Chairs) Rick Wilhite to our party basement, who - fun fact - actually got Whodat started in DJing!
This will be funky soulful joyful house at its best - do not miss!!
